Established in 2009, Daemon Investimentos is a third-party asset manager authorized to operate in Brazil and the USA, originally focused on foreign trade operations which, to this date, has funded more than US$ 15bi in the export of capital goods through its fund, namely, the Daemon Investment Fund (current equity above US$ 4bi).
To achieve these results, it has a highly qualified and experienced team of directors, partners and employees.
In its consulting branch, founded in 2012, it always works closely with the client, by accompanying them from project modeling to the effective disbursement of resources. Therefore, more than BRL 7bi has already been facilitated in projects, with emphasis on the Infrastructure sector, especially the Energy segment.
Since 2018, with eyes on the growing trend of using artificial intelligence and algorithmic predictions, Daemon Investimentos has materially invested in quantitative strategies both in the local and offshore markets.
This year, two new investment funds with priority allocation to infrastructure debentures from the infrastructure sector are being structured, Daemon Infra Debentures Incentives Private Credit FIRF and Daemon Infra Debentures Incentive Private Credit Master I).
More than 20 years of experience in financial markets as a director responsible for product, sales of treasury products, foreign exchange desk and relationships with financial institutions at Unibanco. Mr. Schirato also worked at BankBoston in ECA/Multilaterals area, transactions involving Brazilian and foreign insurance companies and sale of treasury products. MBA from Trium Programme, conducted jointly by NYU – Leonard N. Stern School of Business, London School of Economics and HEC Paris. Postgraduate in finance by IBMEC-SP (INSPER) and BSc in Business Administration by PUC-SP.
More than 20 years of experience in the financial markets, engaged with structured export financing operations. Mr. Queiroz played a relevant role in implementing PROEX at Banco do Brasil. In BankBoston, he carried out the first operations of export financing with interest rate equalization in PROEX. Started the export financing operations, along with Brazilian National Development Bank, and at Unibanco he implemented funding lines under PROEX, having transformed this institution into one of the main agents in export finance in the local market.
Brazilian Licensed Attorney with over 12 years of experience, working with infrastructure and project finance, has participated in several project finance transactions in various industries, many of which involved fund-raising from Brazilian National Development Bank. Professor of Administrative Law at University of Sao Paulo – USP, and author of several law books and articles published in Brazil and abroad. Earned a PhD at USP School of Law; an LL.M. at Universität Osnabrück, Germany; and an LLB at Pontifical Catholic University of Sao Paulo.
More than 35 years of experience in the Brazilian Market, focused mainly on project management related to the Brazilian National Development Bank’s – BNDES funds. Began his career at Banco Credibanco, where he worked for 24 years leaving as Executive Director. He held the position of Onlending Head at Unibanco for 10 years and participated in several financing transactions with BNDES funds. In 2009, after the Itaú-Unibanco merge, Mr. Crema became Head of BNDES Onlending at Itaú BBA.
Over 7 years of trading and investing experience, focusing in arbitrage, event driven and credit strategies in LatAm and in the US. Before joining Daemon, Gabriel worked at Patria Investimentos as co-portfolio manager in Patria’s Hedge Fund group, and as an associate in an exchange program with GSO Capital in New York. Prior to that, he was an Equity Derivatives Trader at Goldman Sachs. Gabriel holds a BSc in Industrial Engineering from Escola Politécnica at University of São Paulo.
Marcelo Gama is an Economist graduated from FEA / USP and an MBA from Fundação Dom Cabral and from INSPER. He is also an approved investment manager, authorized by the CVM through Declaratory Act No. 13.297 / 2013. Partner responsible for Structured Credit, Marcelo has over 20 years of experience in the financial markets, most of which are dedicated to the structuring and distribution of fixed income operations, working in institutions such as Unibanco, Itaú BBA, Pine and Banco Fibra, where he led the Capital Markets & Syndicated Loans businesses.
More than 5 years of experience in developing algorithms for the financial market in major institutions. Before joining Daemon, Carlito worked at Kapitalo Investimentos and Rio Bravo Investimentos as Quantitative and Portfolio Manager for Kapitalo Kappa FIM and Kapitalo Zeta FIM and Rio Bravo Apollo FIM, Rio Bravo Pandas FIM, Rio Bravo Previdência FIM funds respectively. Prior to that, Carlito worked for 3 years at Embraer as an engineer developing and analyzing control laws for the Legacy 450/500 fly-by-wire and autopilot. Carlito is a Control and Automation engineer from Instituto Mauá de Tecnologia and also has a degree in Eletronics Engineering from Waterford Institute of Technology and has a postgraduate degree in Aeronautical Systems Engineering from ITA (Instituto Tecnológico da Aeronáutica).
